Kapitein Anna, Amsterdam

Kapitein Anna offers 12 guest cabins inside a restored paddle steamer built in 1911. Every cabin includes air conditioning, a private bathroom with free toiletries, and tea and coffee-making facilities. Guests can choose from single, twin, or standard twin rooms, many with lake views through original porthole windows.

The hotel is reached by a direct free ferry from Amsterdam Central Station, a 10-minute ride that runs every 15 minutes. Street parking nearby costs about €10 per day. From the dock, it's a 1-minute walk to the ship, and the Scheepvaartmuseum (4.7 km) and Dam Square (3.8 km) are reachable via the same ferry.

A daily breakfast buffet is served in the ship's restored dining room, with cooked eggs available on request. The onboard bar opens until 10 pm and offers wines, champagne, and a coffee house with free specialty drinks. Packed lunches and afternoon fruit are also provided for guests.
